I left the Financial Services Industry in October 2017 to be able to spend more QUALITY time with my family. I liked the freedom and flexibility that I had with my schedule, but the onerous rules of compliance, and stress from handling other people's money, and the results of that not in my control was VERY stressful. My wife Danielle and I are foster parents. We started fostering in May 2016, and within the first 18 months, we had fostered 40 children, which inevitably added to the stress. One night, I told my wife that I could not sustain being a financial advisor for a Fortune 500 company, personally managing $42 million, AND be a foster parent. After praying about it, and discussing it further with one another, we decided that I would not be a financial advisor any more, and we started considering franchising. I started going to all the websites, and doing all the research that you are in the process of right now. I started on my own. The number of different franchises, the investment levels, the research, the calls with franchisors, etc. was OVERWHELMING! A franchise consultant got ahold of me, and started coaching me through the process. The more we talked, the more he thought I should become a consultant, and so, here I am 6 months later.
